    Some published sources give Bethiah Polley's mother as Bethiah Gowdrey/Cowdrey. This appears to be an error caused by confusion with her step-mother Hannah Cowdrey and Hannah's sister Bethiah Cowdrey. The two Cowdrey sisters were married on the same day which may have been the source of the confusion.
