Revolutionary War veteran
D.A.R. #A046461
Story Gott, in his Revolutionary War pension application, said that he lived in Colchester, Connecticut, until he was ten years old at which time he moved to Austerlitz, New York. This would have been about 1774.
Story Gott stated in his pension application that he was born 30 NOV 1764 in Colchester. A record of births in his family bible and submitted with the application gives it as 30 NOV 1765.
Story Gott testified for the pension application of his brother John's widow Sarah (Rowland) Gott in 1840. He clearly states that John (b. 1762) is his brother.
