  • Ezekial Reed died during the French and Indian War and was buried at sea. He died in 1763 on the return passage near the conclusion of the war. Of the 273 persons who embarked on the voyage, only 77 survived. It is believed that yellow fever broke out on board.

    Ezekiel Reed's baptism record gives the date as 11 MAR 1722, but due to his recorded birth date it would appear that it is actually 11 MAR 1722/23.
