    • Percifer C. Daly, manager of the Daly Ice and Coal Company, was killed when the car he was riding in was struck by a train. Two others in the car were also killed including an employee of Percifer's who was thrown from the car and run over by the train. The car was estimated to be traveling in access of 50 mph when it collided with the train.
