Henry John Heinz II, born July 10, 1908, was a prominent American business executive, best known for his role as CEO of the H. J. Heinz Company. He was the grandson of the company’s founder, Henry John Heinz, which instilled in him a deep connection to the family business from an early age.
Heinz II attended Yale University, where he earned a degree in History in 1931. Following his graduation, he joined the family company, working his way through various roles, which gave him a comprehensive understanding of the business. In 1946, he succeeded his father, Howard Heinz, as CEO, a position he held until 1966.
