      Linda Gray is an American actress, born on September 12, 1940, in Santa Monica, California. She is best known for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing in the popular television series, Dallas.

      Gray began her acting career in the 1960s, appearing in various TV shows and films. However, it was her role as Sue Ellen Ewing in Dallas that brought her widespread recognition and fame. Gray played the character for 11 seasons, from 1978 to 1989, and was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance.

      After Dallas, Gray continued to act in various TV shows and films, including Melrose Place, Models Inc., and the 2012 revival of Dallas. She also appeared on stage in several productions, including the national tour of Love Letters with her Dallas co-star Larry Hagman.
