It has been speculated that Robert Adams of Newbury is a cousin of Henry Adams of Braintree and therefore related to the Presidents John and John Quincy Adams. If true, Robert may be the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Sharlon) Adams. Evidence is needed to support this theory.
There is a baptismal record in Otter St. Mary, Devonshire, for Robert Adams, son of Peter Adams, baptized 22 DEC 1602. Perhaps this is the Robert Adams of Newbury.
