Rome Odunze, born June 3, 2002 at Orem, Utah, is an American football wide receiver who was picked 9th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas where he was chosen as Nevada's Gatorade Football Player of the Year for the 2019-2020 season. He went on to play college football at the University of Washington where he led the NCAA in receiving yards in 2023. That same year he led the PAC-12 Conference in receptions, receiveing yards, and yards from scrimmage,

In an episode of "Meet the Rookies" that aired on YouTube in 2024, Odunze's paternal grandfather Dr. James Odunze, who emigrated from Nigeria in 1972, said that he was from a noble family and that his father was a king. He said the significance of the name Odunze means the ivory of the king. However, as discovered by FamousKin.com, Rome Odunze also has British royal ancestry through his mother's side of the family. He also has multiple descents from Magna Carta barons and a number of Mayflower passengers who sailed into Plymouth Harbor in 1620.
