    Some online genealogies claim that Ellen Egan is the daughter of John Michael Egan and Mary Ann Whalen. I have not seen evidence to confirm this relationship. John Michael Egan and Mary Ann Whalen were married in 1911. They had a son John Francis Egan born around 1919. Their son married Norma Jean Rivington. John Francis Egan and his parents can be found in the 1921 Canadian census. Ellen Egan's birth or death certificate should be located to confirm her parents.
