  • Since the death date on his headstone of 12 JUN 1669 is four months older that of the burial date of 10 OCT 1669 that is listed in the parish registers, one of the dates is probably incorrect.

    Some sources state that is was a Sir Thomas Rodney, son of Sir John Rodney, that married Alice Caesar. However a monograph on the paternal ancestry of Caesar Rodney (Signer of the Delaration of Independece) gives evidence that it was William Rodney who married Alice Caesar.
