    • At his death, sources indicate that Otto Krieger's middle initial was J. However on the marriage certificate of his daughter Gertrude, his middle name was given as Charles. He is said to be the son of Karl Krieger and Wilhelmina Henkelmann, but he does not appear with the family in the 1870 census. There is a Julius listed in the census, but he is a 6 month old infant born about JAN 1870, and not a five year-old born in MAY 1864. It appears more likely that his middle name is Charles.
