  • The WWII draft registration for Charles Redford gives his birth date as 12 DEC 1881. Other sources including his WWI draft registration give 12 DEC 1880 as the date. His baptism record is from October 1881 and it also lists the 1880 birthdate which is clearly correct.

    Sources also disagree on whether Charles Redford was born in Connecticut or Rhode Island. He was baptized in Westerly, Rhode Island so that is probably his birthplace as well.

    Some sources give Charles Redford's middle name as Elijah. This does not agree with the records that give Elisha as the correct name.

    In 1910 Charles Redford was a theater musician who was living with members of his mother's family, possibly his cousins.
