    • Notes:
    • Some sources list the father of Francis Peabody as a John Pabodie of Duxbury who did have a son Francis, but no evidence has been found to support this claim.

The order of the children, and which wife of Francis was their mother, is based on the analysis presented by Robert Charles Anderson in his The Great Migration: Immigrants to New England 1634-1635 5:400-410 (more specifically the "comments" section on pages 408-410). In the analysis, Anderson concludes that the will of Francis Peabody names his sons in order of birth. In that list, Francis includes his "son-in-law" (i.e. stepson) Daniel Wood in between sons William and Isaac. This would indicate William was the last son by first wife Lydia, and Isaac was the first son by second wife Mary, daughter of Reginald Foster, and widow of Daniel Wood.
