  • Gary Boyd Roberts, in his The Royal Descents of 600 Immigrants (2008)does not include Sir Edward Seymour and his wife Jane (or Margaret) Walsh (p. 150). In his book he has this Edward's son Sir Edward Seymour (married to Elizabeth Champernowne) as the son of this Edward's father Edward Seymour and his wife Anne Stanhope. He skips this generation altogether which seems to be in error according to an inscription near this Edward's tombstone listing both his son and his father Edward, Duke of Somerset.
