Some published sources give the parents of Joshua Bond as John Bond and Alice Anna Webster. However, they were actually brothers as indicated in their father Thomas Bond's will. Thomas mentions his 5 sons including Joshua, Jacob and John. Jacob and Joshua refer to each other in their respective wills. John makes no mention of a son Joshua or any grandchildren by Joshua in his will. Grandchildren by his other sons are mentioned. Also based on their ages as determined by their marriages and children, John and Joshua would have been too close in age to have been father and son.
