  • The marriage record for Marie Roy and Joseph Clement Jr. lists her parents as Joseph Roy and Marie Groux. However, no records have been found for a Marie Groux. It is believed that the name Groux was a mistake and should have read Leroux. If correct, Marie is a daughter Joseph Roy and Marie Josephe Leroux, and a sister of the Marie Roy who married her husband's father Joseph Clement Sr. So basically she married her brother-in-law's son, making her brother-in-law also her father-in-law.
