  • A number of published sources state that Mary was the daughter of Daniel Buckingham with a birth date of 27 AUG 1684. However, the Milford, Connecticut, vital records give the birth date of Daniel's daughter as 27 AUG 1668. This would make her unlikely to be Ephraim Strong's wife as she would have been 16 years his senior. Also, the marriage record for Mary and Ephraim Strong indicates Mary was a widow. This would seem to indicate that Mary's maiden name was not Buckingham but that she had been married once before. More research is needed to identify Mary's true parents.
