He began his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1970s and quickly rose to fame for his distinctive style and relatable humor. He was also a bestselling author, having published several books including "Dear Dad: Letters from an Adult Child." In 2016, Anderson won an Emmy award for his performance as Christine Baskets in the FX series "Baskets." Anderson is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential comedians of his time. Louie Anderson passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 68.
