  • Some published sources claim Martha's maiden name was Drew and that she married John Thwing in Boston on 14 AUG 1692. Another more likely possibility is that Martha was the daughter of Zebeon and Rachel Leatherland (Lytherland) of Boston who was baptized 04 MAY 1673 based on evidence presented by Winifred Lovering Holman (The American Genealogist 24:259-260).
