    Sherman Pickard was born in Antrim County, Michigan. His 1922 marriage record gives his birth location as Central Lake, whereas his WWII draft registration gives it as Alden. Just a little over a month after he was born, his family can be found in the 1900 U. S. census living in Helena Township. While both Central Lake and Alden are in Antrim County, only Alden is in Helena Township supporting that location as his birth location. Also, his twin brother Sheridan gave his birth location as Alden on both his WWII draft registration and his marriage record.
