Dr. Percy Musgrave committed suicide at age 50 when he shot himself in the heart in a hotel room. He is said to have shot himself with the .44 calibre automatic that he carried during the war. He was one of the first physicians who went overseas during the war and offered his services to the English government. He later was transferred to U.S. forces after their entry into the war where he served with the rank of Major.
