- Notes:
Elizabeth Duston is often misidentified in early published genealogies as the daughter of Mathias Button. She is actually the daughter of Mathias Button's third wife Elizabeth Wheeler and her first husband Thomas Duston. The misidentification comes from the sale of land by Elizabeth Wheeler, then married to Mathias Button, to her "son-in-law" John Kingsbury. Later she deeded land to her "son-in-law" Peter Green.
