- Notes:
The National Society of the Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims has accepted at least one lineage application that gives Rebecca Standish's mother as her father Zachariah's first wife Rebecca Wood. The Mayflower silver book for John Alden, Part 5 (2016), p. 177, gives her mother as Zachariah's second wife Olive Pool. Olive was given guardianship of Rebecca in 1781 after Zachariah's death. This would indicate Rebecca's age was under 14 at the time. Rebecca's tombstone after her death in DEC 1801 was inscribed with her age being 27 years and nine months. This would place her birth around MAR 1774 some four years after her father's second marriage. This would confirm that Rebecca's mother was Olive Pool and not Rebecca Wood.
From 1789 to 1810, a Rebeckah Standish was taxed in Plympton, Massachusetts, for a meadow of 5.5 acres. This would appear to be a different Rebecca Standish as she referred to as a widow in some of the tax lists.
