    • Notes:
    • Claims that Benjamin Cleveland's wife was Ann Church, daughter of John Church, are almost certainly false if for no other reason than the age difference between the two (approx. 28 years). The wife of Benjamin Cleveland was Ann Clark, daughter of Thomas Clark and Elizabeth Burr. Ann Clark's father died while she was young and her mother Elizabeth married, second, Samuel Church, Ann Church's brother. Perhaps this is the cause of the confusion as to the identity of Benjamin Cleveland's wife.
