Some published sources claim that Sir John Conyers was the son of Robert Conyers and Isabel Pert, however, this cannot be the case as John Conyers was a contemporary of Robert Conyers and was too old to be his son. Douglas Richardson does not list John as a son in his series Royal Ancestry, vol. 5, p. 95. Perhaps he was the son of a different Robert Conyers. More research is needed to determine Sir John Conyers's parents.
