- Notes:
Peter Brown of Windsor, Connecticut, is often claimed to be the son of the Mayflower passenger of the same name. This does not appear to be true as the land of Peter Brown of the Mayflower divided equally between his three daughters. If Peter was his son, he would have been a teenager at the time and would surely have received a share of the estate. So claims of this Peter Brown being a son of the Mayflower Peter Brown are surely false.
There have also been claims that Peter Brown of Windsor was the son of John Brown, brother of Mayflower passenger Peter Brown. This claim has also been disproved.
