Cornelius Merry is said to have participated in the Falls Fight, 18 MAY 1676 during King Philip's War.
Cornelius Merry bought land from Praisever Turner of Northampton, Massachusetts. The land consisted of two parcels at Worronoco "being seven or eight miles . . . from Springfield," one half of twenty five acres of meadow and one half of twenty five acres of upland meadow, with the other halves being purchased by Edmund Hart.
