    Caroline Bier's birthdate would appear to be 19 JAN, while her birth year tends to be a little more confusing with records giving either 1852 or 1853 as the date. Most census record place Caroline 3 to 4 years older than her husband Philip. It would appear that Philip may have wanted to appear older at the time of his marriage to Caroline. For these reasons it would appear that the birth dates given in the 1901 census would appear most likely to be correct.
