  • John Brooks Threlfall, on pages 115-116 in his book The Ancestry of Reverend Henry Whitfield and His Wife Dorothy Sheafe, gives a pedigree for Myles Whitfield that takes his ancestry back another ten generations to Robert Whitfield, the first Lord of Whitfield Hall. This pedigree is lacking in documentation and Threlfall suggests it is therefore suspect, but it should not be entirely dismissed.
