Amos Satterlee arrived in Geauga County, Ohio, in 1815, and settled on the west side of the Chagrin River, Tract 1, No. 1. In 1836, he sold the family farm to William Wilder who had arrived from Oneida County, New York.
This Amos Satterlee should not be confused with the man of the same name and similar age who lived and died in Herkimer County, New York.
