    Some published sources give Elizabeth's parents as Benjamin Burgess and Priscilla Gatchell. However, the Mayflower Society silver books (MF5G, Vol. 18, pt. 1:171, and pt. 3:90, 106) give it as Ebenezer Burgess and Mercy Lombard. The latter gives Elizabeth a descent from Mayflower passenger Richard Warren, while the former would give her one from William Brewster.
