  • Andrew Seawright's home was attacked by Tories and set afire, burning him to death inside. Next they attacked the farm of his son James who was away fighting with the militia. James's wife Elizabeth hid in the fields with her children during the attack. Her two infant children, William and Elizabeth, froze to death during the night.
