    • The death notice in the local newspaper gives Calvin's death date as 12 JAN 1830, exactly one week after it occurred. The same death notice gives his brother Ezekiel's death date as 16 JAN 1830, also exactly one week after his death. Both brothers were said to have died at the same location of pleurisy.

      The identification of Calvin Bryant's parents is through NEHGS memoirs for descendants of his brother Ezekiel.

      The executor of Calvin Bryant's will was his son-in-law John M. Miller.

      This Calvin Bryant should not be confused with the one of the same name, a third cousin one time removed, who married Rebecca Morse in 1791.

      On 05 DEC 1796, Calvin Bryant purchase land in Cornwall, Connecticut, from the estate of Samuel Everson. Almost twenty years later, Calvin would marry Samuel Everson's daughter Lucy as his third wife.

      On 25 DEC 1802, Austin Bierce sold land in Sheffield, Massachusetts, to his brother-in-law Calvin Bryant. The sale was not recorded until 07 JUN 1806.

      Calvin's brother-in-law Austin Bierce is mentioned in a deed in 1809 for the sale of land by Salmon Willoby to Calvin Bryant. In the deed, the land is described as being next to Calvin Bryant's land and "land lately belonging to Austin Bierce Junr's."
