    There is an ongoing debate as to whether Frances is the daughter of Richard White and Catherine Weston. While there are many genealogical publications and online family trees that include this connection, there are many who doubt the connection to be valid. They believe that the dates just don't add up and that Frances would have had to be about eleven or twelve years old when she married Richard Wells who would have been about 40 years her senior. If true, this would seem somewhat unlikely.
