    The information regarding this family published in 1896 in the The Ashley Genealogy was provided by Oliver Pratt Ashley's eldest daughter Gertrude according to the footnote on page 140. Gertrude also gave Oliver's birth date as 25 MAY 1794, however, the Winchester town records have it as 28 MAY 1794.
