      Ben Jealous is a civil rights leader and advocate for social justice. Born on January 18, 1973, in Carmel, California, Jealous served as the President and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

      From an early age, Jealous demonstrated a deep passion for civil rights and racial equality. He attended Columbia University, where he studied political science and became actively involved in campus activism. Jealous continued his education at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, earning a Master of Science in comparative social research.

      Jealous's career in social justice gained significant momentum when he became the youngest-ever president of the NAACP in 2008 at the age of 35.
