Rising to fame in the late '70s, Stevenson became a household name with his portrayal of Frank Hardy in the hit TV series "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries" and his role as Craig Pomeroy in the 1990s TV series "Baywatch."

      In 1986, Stevenson starred as Billy Hazard in the television miniseries "North and South." He co-starred with then-wife Kirstie Alley, who portrayed his sister Virgilia Hazard.
