  • Margaret Le Gras's given name is also seen as Margery.

    Older sources give Margaret's parents as John FitzGilbert (the Marshal) and Sybilla of Salisbury. However, newer research has shown that she is actually the daughter of William le Gras and his wife who was an unknown daughter of John FitzGilbert. So Margaret is John FitzGilbert's granddaughter and not his daughter as previously believed.
