  • Some sources state that William Allen was the son of William or Samuel Allen, and grandson of Valentine Allen and Mary Page. However it is believed that Valentine Allen did not have any sons as his two daughters were co-heirs to his estate. This would indicate that Valentine Allen did not have any living sons at the time.

    Other sources give William Allen and Ann Hudson as the parents of William Allen. I have yet to see the evidence supporting this claim.
