  • Mashac Tipton's wife has been said by some to be Elizabeth McReynolds. I have found no evidence to support this. There was a younger Mashac Tipton, possibly a grandchild of this Mashac, who married an Elizabeth McReynolds on 16 NOV 1837 in Blount County, Tennessee. The latter Mashac Tipton was almost 60 years younger that this Mashac Tipton. Perhaps this younger couple has caused some confusion about the older Mashac.
