    • The maiden name of Lydia is unknown. It appears the reason that her maiden name often appears as Perkins is because she appeared in a court record with Sarah Perkins, wife of Isaac Perkins. The court record, dated 04 NOV 1645, stated, "Eunice Cole, for breach of bond for good behavior to sit half an hour lecture day at Hampton and to pay the witness, Isacke Perkings, 7s. and to make public acknowledgement of her slanderous speeches of Susan Perkings and Lidia Pebody." Although it's likely that Lydia was connected, and possibly even related, to either Isaac Perkins or his wife Susan, the court record should not be used as proof that Lydia's maiden name was Perkins.
