  • The wife of James Clack is said to be Jane, her maiden name unknown. There are some Clack descendants who claim that Jane is named Jane Rolfe Bolling, the daughter of Col. Robert Thomas Bolling and Jane Rolfe making her a descendant of Pocahontas.

    The first problem with this claim is that there is no real evidence that her name was Jane Rolfe Bolling. Also another problem is that Col. Robert Bolling and Jane Rolfe are only known to have had one son, John Fairfax Bolling, and no daughters.

    A third problem is that Jane (Rolfe) Bolling is said to have only been married to to Col. Robert Bolling for about a year as she died shortly after her son John was born. So any window to have had a daughter is very small if there was one at all.
