  • The parents of Mary Corwin who married David Bishop appears to have been either John Corwin and Elizabeth Wells, or Daniel Corwin and Temperance Baily. The 1918 book A Standard History of Elkhart County, Indiana (Vol. 2, p. 803) gives the latter as Mary's parents, while the 1872 Corwin Genealogy (Curwin, Curwen, Corwine) in the United States (pp. 120 and 151) by Edward Corwin states the former. Both are said to be sons of Daniel Corwin and Elizabeth Cleaves.
