  • Richard Perkins's wife is said to be Jane Shelton, an aunt of Patrick Henry's wife Sarah Shelton. This identification came about when Lucie Perkins Stone claimed that she found a mirror in her mother's belongings with Jane Shelton engraved on the back of it. She assumed Jane was an ancestor of her mother. Evidence is needed to support this claim.
