  • Esther Bucknam is said to be the sister of her husband's first wife Martha Bucknam. However, the chronology of events seems to suggest that her father Joses Bucknam's wife was not her mother. Her mother would have been about 59 at the time of her birth, but it is possible that her father had a younger second wife. More research is needed to determine the name of Esther Bucknam's mother.
