  • It is often claimed that Lucy Bearse, wife of Ezekiel Bryant, was the daughter of Miall and Elizabeth (Sears) Bryant. However, their daughter Lucy died just a couple of months after she was born. This Lucy Bearse would appear to be the only one eligible to have married Ezekiel Bryant.

    Lucy is one of the daughters named in the 1764 will of her father Austin Bearse. Lucy was not yet married.
