- Notes:
Dr. Milford Bard Shipp was a Mormon who practiced bigamy as he was married to at least four wives.
Some records state that Dr. Milford Bard Shipp was born at Crawfordsville, Montgomery, Indiana. However, Milford B. Shipp, at the age of 69, gave his birth location as Edinburg [sic], Johnson County, Indiana on his application to the State of Utah for one of the Indian War Veteran Medals.
Although some sources give Milford Shipp's birth year as 1836, his tombstone has it as 1838.
