  • Some published sources state Elizabeth Brooks was the daughter of Peter Kuhn as he mentioned seven of her children as his grandchildren in his will. However, this appears to be incorrect. Peter Kuhn does not mention the relationship of the Barnum children in his will. Other sources show that Peter's daughter Elizabeth was married to Richard Marks. The Barnum children would appear to be the children of his wife Elizabeth, and therefore his step-children.
