Geena Davis is an American actress, producer, and writer, best known for her roles in films such as "The Fly," "Beetlejuice," "A League of Their Own," and "Thelma & Louise." Born on January 21, 1956, in Wareham, Massachusetts, Davis began her acting career in the 1980s.

Davis received critical acclaim for her performances in films such as "The Fly," "Beetlejuice," and "The Accidental Tourist," and was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in "The Accidental Tourist." In 1992, she starred in the film "A League of Their Own," which was a huge box office success and helped to solidify her position as one of Hollywood's leading actresses.
