Who was David Crosby?

David Crosby was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as a founding member of the influential folk-rock groups The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Born August 14, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, Crosby got his start in the music industry in the early 1960s as a member of The Byrds. He went on to form Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young, and the group became one of the most successful and influential folk-rock acts of all time. Crosby was known for his distinctive voice and songwriting, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a member of The Byrds and once as a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. David Crosby passed away on January 18, 2023 at the age of 81.
